Development Engineer – Audio Engineering

 Passion for Acoustic design and Sound Quality  

You will become part of our Audio Engineering team with expertise in acoustic design, algorithm tuning and general sound quality evaluation. Your daily work will evolve around acoustic design, trimming audio algorithms, and evaluating the final products’ sound quality.

You will be able to use your passion and creativity for acoustic design as well as your experience with characterizing microphone performance in both quiet and noisy environments. In dialogue with our DSP algorithm developers you will set the direction for best tuning tools which also will ensure high-quality performance in the future.

All our projects are run by cross-functional teams, and besides DSP algorithm developers, you will work closely together with SW engineers, Mechanical and Manufacturing engineers, Hardware engineers and Project and Product Managers etc.

 Required qualifications

You hold a relevant educational engineering background. Most important is experience with acoustic design and especially with microphones. Knowledge of algorithm tuning related to the send path will also be weighted high. Besides that, you are outgoing and great at getting things to move forward in an optimized way. Your way of working inspires your colleagues and dealing with many stakeholders energizes you. You are also at ease when communicating in English (our company language).

Ideal profile:

  • 5+ years of experience working with acoustic design & trimming of DSP-algorithms
  • 5+ years of experience within microphone acoustic design and send path algorithm tuning
  • Knowledge about microphones, microphone sound quality and multi-microphone setups
  • Experienced in objective and subjective sound quality evaluation
  • Knowledge about measurement systems for acoustic and audio evaluation
  • Preferably knowledge of SoundCheck and HEAD acoustics ACQUA audio analyzers
  • Good to communicate technical issues for both technical and non-technical people including sound demos for various stakeholders
  • You are outgoing and you easily inspire your colleagues
