“You will be taking on a newly established position with a pivotal role to play. As a seasoned design thinking practitioner, you will mix analytical rigor with your own creativity to envisage the future of hearing aids,” explains Director, Segment Strategy, Dominic Fried-Booth.

Explore and visualize future experiences
Based in Ballerup, your mission will be to design experiences for hearing aid users that set the direction for our business. To do so, you are a quick study, making sense of large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data and creating meaningful insights. You visualize the opportunities you see, define strategic value propositions and engage internal stakeholders to drive business change.

In the process, you will:

  • Work with your immediate team to identify social, technology, economic, and political trends that shape our landscape
  • Use your emotional intelligence to identify latent needs for hearing aid users and providers
  • Craft and communicate psychographic profiles of hearing aid users and providers
  • Ideate and visually express experiences to meet the needs of those users
  • Build convincing narratives with your technology and financial partners to support these experiences
  • Cooperate with colleagues in marketing, R&D, and product management in a cross-functional pre-concepting phase to frame the services, experiences, and high-level framing

Doing so, you get to travel to the US and the Far East approx. 20-25 days a year, working with local product and marketing teams to ensure your ideas have great market fit.

Build rapport with internal stakeholders
“You will work closely with internal stakeholders and network with people across the globe. As such, an important part of your mission will be to build rapport as you listen to those around you and create understanding while challenging and transforming the future of our hearing aids,” Dominic concludes.

Creative and outgoing strategist with a strong analytical backbone
You are self-motivated and tackle complex problem-solving with great enthusiasm. You are a divergent thinker, and you enjoy turning arguments on their heads and thinking against the grain. As a solid strategist, you can spot meaningful patterns, make sense of volumes of data, and create and communicate shared stories.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in design, business administration, psychology, anthropology, or similar
  • You have 5+ years of experience in design research, service design, or strategy, either in-house or with a consulting firm
  • International experience is a must; you can demonstrate that you have worked in different cultures and have been able to deliver experiences that have cross-cultural appeal
  • You have superior communication abilities – with your ability to visualize your ideas a standout skill
  • You communicate professionally in English
  • You can demonstrate how you have used your design skills and ability to visualize research findings, experiences and concepts to drive an organization forward
