Head of UX

Would you like to lead the UX development of complete customer journeys from pre-purchase to unboxing, set-up and usage? And are you looking for an opportunity to:

Join our R&D department  
In Lyngby, you will join our Product team consisting of product managers, designers, researchers and engineers. Together, we are dedicated to creating excellence throughout the entire user journey.

To accomplish this, we work closely with many other functions, such as Digital, Hardware, Software, Acoustic Research and Marketing to influence all aspects of UX and UI from app, web and packaging design to hardware and more.

Be a central thought leader on luxury user experiences  
Within the Product team, you will lead a team of experienced UX specialists to deliver on various UX projects. You will oversee the projects throughout their life cycle from concept, specification and development to launch and maintenance.

So you won’t just work with our physical product, app and packaging, you’ll influence all digital touchpoints, including our website,” says Gavin Ivester, VP of Design & Insights.

To accomplish this, you will:

  • Drive an innovation and exploration agenda to gain insights on industry best practices and emerging trends
  • Define the qualities differentiating Bang & Olufsen experiences from competitors and communicate these companywide
  • Create and drive an executable vision, a development pipeline and UX designs and projects
  • Ensure that your team has the necessary skills, capacity and tools to deliver on projects
  • Travel up to 45 days per year to represent UX in Bang & Olufsen’s discussions and negotiations with our technology partners

People manager with an interest in luxury goods
Through compelling communication and highly developed stakeholder management skills, you are able to engage colleagues in our mission and be the advocate of user needs in our negotiations with partners.

You are a proactive and enthusiastic people developer driven to create a design-driven, best-in-class culture and create excitement about luxury technology.

Furthermore, you are an innate problem-solver, and you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience with leading UX/UI teams and driving design execution and strategy related to physical products with hardware/software interfaces
  • Can present a portfolio of design solutions
  • Possess knowledge of the UX psychology, including human perception, cognition, biases and learning
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree – or higher – related to product design, digital design, UX or the like
  • Speak and write English fluently
