Colourbox & Skyfish are looking for an Online Designer who can take responsibility of our websites’ designs and other marketing channels for a combined monthly website audience of millions.
Our customers include major international clients such as ZDF, School of Visual Arts, MTV and major Danish customers including the Danish Ministry of Justice, 90% of the municipalities in Denmark, and major corporations such as DONG and DSB.
You will be part of a growing communication team consisting of online marketing experts, online designers, and UX specialists. You will work remotely, out of our office in Odense, Denmark or Berlin, Germany. You will work on Colourbox, Scandinavia’s largest online image bank, and Skyfish, a media handling platform that helps users organize, share and edit images.
You have a thorough understanding of UX and UI, can lead the design process all the way from idea through wireframing, testing, development, implementation, and optimization.
Ability to put yourself in the minds of users, identify their concerns/obstacles in the sales funnel and can counter these with an excellent design.
Knowledge of web technologies including HTML/CSS.
Highly motivated by data and numbers and understand that the goal of online design on an e-commerce site is to retain customers and sell.
You must have a great understanding of usability. Your design helps the user understand where they are and what they can do. And the book, ‘Don’t Make Me Think‘, brings a smile to your face.
You have an eye for excellent design, attention to detail and understand the importance of typography in UI/UX design. You have the ability to visualize solutions before anything is put to paper (and the screen).
Ability to manage and prioritize against deadlines with multiple projects running at all times.
You like to prototype and create rough versions using prototyping tools such as Balsamiq.
Sketch, Photoshop and InVision are part of your daily toolbox. You know how to create responsive designs, and have experience making apps used by many users.
4+ years experience from a similar design position. E-commerce experience is a big plus. A degree in design, marketing or similar is a plus but not required.
Take responsibility of all designs for Colourbox websites, ensuring a high quality consistent with brand guidelines across all projects. You will work with all areas of online marketing, closely with other team members who each are experts in their field.
Test designs using A/B split testing tools to lift revenue and conversion rate on critical sites, campaigns, and emails.
Use analytics and customer insights to identify problem areas and take action when needed. That also includes using market feedback actively to help in the development of new features.
Some project coordination, ensuring designs are delivered on time for the development department.
