Gabriel’s ambassador and the customer’s advisor
You will have a central position in the DesignMaster team, Gabriel’s department for design and product development. Here we design the upholstery materials, furniture and furniture components of the future, focusing on users’ needs, behaviour and wishes. The design and development tasks cover everything from ideas to the final product and as part of a competent project team, you will work closely together with our internal and external customers and suppliers.
You will act as Gabriel’s ambassador and the customer’s advisor in close cooperation with customers and colleagues. Your job will be to identify and develop product ideas and carry out design tasks where you will have plenty of opportunities to make good use of your knowledge of textiles. Sales support and developing presentation materials for Gabriel’s key customers will also be part of your responsibilities.
You have relevant education in design and a maybe some experience from a similar position, or you may have worked as a freelance designer with particular focus on upholstery textiles and similar products. You have a broad knowledge of materials, which enables you to dive into the hands-on experience of designing as well as delivering tasks and projects at a professional level. You have experience with developing and visualising design concepts and functional requirements using IT tools, and you are also used to working with digital presentations. Your interest in designing upholstery fabrics may derive from an international context, however this is not a requirement.
You are creative, innovative and have a strong sense of colours. You are happy about working independently on your own tasks, but you also know the value of being part of an efficient team. Your high level of energy and your focus on quality makes you a natural sparring partner for your customers and colleagues.
You are a strong communicator who enjoys engaging in dialogue with colleagues, customers and suppliers in an outgoing role where the user, the application and the presentation are a natural part of the design process. You are comfortable communicating and making presentations in English, the company language at Gabriel.
