User-centered designer for research and validation

GN Audio, Ballerup - Denmark

User-centered designer for research and validation

This is your opportunity to become a specialist in user-centered design within product development. Perfect your skills to make life sound better for people around the world, as they enjoy the experience and feel of our products.

Through its Jabra brand, GN Audio is a world leader in innovative hands-free audio solutions, and as a User Experience designer, you will get the unique chance to specialize in the experience of our physical and digital solutions. This is an area of great significance to the GN organization, and you will get to be a part of developing it.

Join the professional User Experience team

You will become part of our User Experience team in R&D, consisting of 14 UX designers with differing backgrounds and focus areas. We deliver design recommendations throughout the entire product development process. We use our skills on product requirements, design and validation from a user point-of-view based on added value, perception, usability, comfort and fit. You will be welcomed into a laid-back, yet professional, atmosphere, and we look forward to meeting you.

Specialize in user validation

Through project assignments, you will support your UX colleagues by evaluating and giving design input on user-related aspects in our physical and digital solutions. The primary part of your job will be to perform vis-à-vis and remote user test activities, by testing product designs on users to assess comfort and/or usability. Thus, you will recruit/book test persons based on specified user profile parameters and analyze the collected test data to give recommendations for design changes when needed. You will also prepare questionnaires built on agreed focus areas in our web-based tools.

You will get to play an important role in developing our methodologies and processes within user research and validation to influence how we use data in our future designs.

Outgoing, user-centered designer

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within e.g. anthropology, ethnography, industrial design or similar.
  • We prefer that you have experience from a similar job. However, recently graduated will also be considered.
  • You are experienced in qualitative and quantitative test methods and have worked with user involvement and user-centered processes.
  • You have solid Excel skills and basic knowledge of statistics and web surveys. It is an advantage, if you know the Adobe suite – primarily Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • You speak and write English fluently.

As a person, you are outgoing and enjoy close interaction with people while testing your designs. Working in a matrix organization, it is important that you are co-creative, enabling you to work across functions on different projects. Moreover, you have strong communication skills both visually and verbally – and are able to present design information and test findings in a clear and convincing manner. And finally, you take initiative to seek knowledge and initiate activities in your projects.
