Moving VILA forward
These are exciting times at VILA as we are looking into developing and strengthening our brand even further – and as Design Manager, you will have a key say in defining this journey. With reference to our International Product Manager, you will lead the Design department, consisting of six highly skilled and ambitious employees. Initially, your focus will be to assess and redefine our design vision laying out the design strategy that will bring us to the next level and create an even stronger design identity of VILA. We want to stay true to our design identity, while at the same time being in tune with the demands of our markets. As Design Manager, you will focus on enhancing the collaboration between our design and buying department, our product team and our sales organisation, creating a setup that enables us to do collections that are on trend, yet not deviating from the core of our future brand DNA.
More specifically, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

As a manager, you excel at communicating the vision and generating commitment around changes. You are ambitious, proactive and driven, motivated by the opportunity to exploit the untapped potential of a growing brand. You thrive on challenges, and will go to great lengths to generate results. Based on your experience spotting trends and tendencies, you are always up-to-date when it comes to product development, creating collections that are in line with our design vision and market demands. As a person, you are outgoing and positive, skilled at establishing and developing strong relations with both colleagues, B2B customers and suppliers. As a true VILA ambassador, you serve as a great inspiration to the people around you, and make them buy into your decisions.
