Skilled Game 3D Artist for BlockStarPlanet

About The Job
Overall responsibilities:
You will be entirely responsible for the design, modelling, rigging and animation of our low poly game assets within 3D Studio Max.
You will be working within a small, multi-disciplinary team producing low poly game content such as pets, weapons, and chassis. As a creative and self motivated individual working under the direction of a Creative Lead you will be relied upon to be a consistent source of imaginative and kick-ass ideas. Part of your responsibility will be to estimate and plan your own tasks, and we expect a high level of productivity.
The position will be a 1-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of a permanent hiring.

– Low poly modelling
– Rigging and animation
– Fundamental understanding of real time shaders
– Experienced in 3D Studio Max
– Ability to achieve great results with within a limited technological framework
– English at a mothertongue level

Nice to have:
– Unity experience
– Familiar with source control (i.e. SVN/Git)
– Experience making particle effects
– Familiar with Scrum

The team:
We are a diverse team of passionate game developers who believe in our game and are committed to ensuring its success. Our ten person team consists of Programmers, a UI Designer, a Creative Lead and a Product Manager. You will be reporting to the Product Manager of the team and also be part of a cross company guild of Artists.

You are a creative soul, but you are also very productive and structured. You know how to plan your day and the importance of delivering high quality on time. You engage with the team and are always willing to collaborate to find the best solution. You are good at taking direction and reacting to feedback as well as being proactive in coming up with ideas for content and improvements to our game. Your skill set is solid, but you are also eager to learn and grow within the role.

MovieStarPlanet ApS is the company behind the games and social networks MovieStarPlanet, BooniePlanet and BlockStarPlanet targeted for kids aged 8-13 years. In the virtual worlds, users design their own MovieStar, BlockStar or Boonie avatar, which is used to play the games and have fun with friends.

Some of the key features include dress-up, chat with friends, create looks, make movies and scrapbooks, design clothes, build worlds and prefabs and play mini-games.
